Tacoma Young Violin Program

The Tacoma Young Violin Program (TYVP) is for young people (ages 6-10) who wish to explore and discover the violin! Students will learn beginning violin skills, note reading, rhythmic foundations, how to play together in a group, and have the opportunity to make new friends.

No prior experience is necessary to join the Level 1 class! Classes are dependent upon enrollment. Students will need to rent or purchase a violin. In addition, students are encouraged to purchase their own music to further their development outside of class, but music and supplemental materials will be provided by TYSA if needed.
